Boys Under 18 Showcase
Eligibility: Grade 12 (2008) For 2025/26
Season Description: This elite team is designed to train and compete, providing a unique opportunity for young athletes to enhance their skills and experience high-level competition. Comprising of 9-10 dedicated players, the team is committed to development and preparing for the next level of play. The training program will run from September to June, with the potential for the competition schedule to extend into July. The program is structured to align with the high school basketball season, allowing student-athletes to maintain their commitment to either school teams or shoe circuit teams.
Tournaments and leagues: The team will participate in USA exposure events through independent circuits, including Prep Hoops, NY2LA, Made Hoops, and Hoop Group. All tournaments will be within an 8-hour travel distance, unless otherwise agreed upon before registration.
Commitment: Competitive team basketball requires significant time, dedication, and financial commitment. Players and families should be prepared for registration fees, uniforms, and travel expenses. We understand that family, academics, and school activities may take precedence. Please inform coaches well in advance of tryouts if you have conflicts. While we encourage other activities, our competitive program is usually a higher level of play, and parents and athletes must understand the commitment. Consider time, travel (most games and tournaments are outside of London), and financial implications before joining.
Cost: The cost structure for participating on the team will be finalized once the team is assembled. Estimated fees are currently undetermined and will vary based on several factors, including the number of tournaments or leagues entered and number of players selected on team. Estimated fees will be between $1,500 and $2,500 per player.
Travel: Travel-related expenses, such as transportation, fuel, and lodging, are not included in the registration fees. These fees are the responsibility of the player and their family. If support is required, it should be communicated to the coaches in advance.
Uniform: Players are required to purchase a numbered reversible jersey and a pair of shorts. This additional cost is not included in the registration fees previously listed.
Funding: Parents have the opportunity to apply for funding through Jump Start, Kid Sport, and Their Opportunity to assist with player fees. However, it’s important to note that there are no guarantees of funding, and they likely won’t cover all fees.
