  • 10 Teams

  • Each team will play 18 Regular Season and a minimum of 3 League Tournament games for a total of 21 games

    over 6 months.

  • Each team will play a maximum of 4 games over 2 days during “Regular Season Weekends” with a maximum

of 2 games per day. The only exceptions would be the League Tournament where games will take place on Friday,

    Saturday and Sunday.

  • Divisions will not play a factor in the 2024-25 season, but teams will be slotted geographically as listed below:

    • West Division – Hamilton Transway, London Ramblers, Pelham Panthers, Tri-County Soldiers, Windsor St. Clair

    • East Division – Brampton Warriors, GTA Lady Blues, Halton Region, Ottawa Capitals, YNBA Avengers

Notes Specific to this Division

  • Rosters must be a minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 Players.

  • U-14 teams (maximum 3 Underaged Players – none younger than grade 7)

  • Some teams have expressed their interest in also competing in the OBA. The 2024-2025 JUEL Academy season

will be a hybrid that will allow teams to do so. The only conflicting weekend with the OBA is February 15-16, 2025

which is our “End Women’s Cancers” Weekend. It is our hope that our Academy teams compete in our league that

weekend, but they can request a bye (requests must be submitted no later than September 30, 2024).

  • Registration includes Insurance coverage – teams competing in other leagues/events can request coverage for

those events (request must be submitted in advance for approval).

  • This season only – Players committed to play on an Academy team will be allowed to play on another team

outside of JUEL Academy, but we strongly encourage Coaches to track the number of games these Players are

playing to avoid burnout and potential injuries.

    • Reasoning – Some teams feel they need more than 21 total games during the season and have requested

they are allowed to also compete in the OBA or other events. This has been approved as we feel it could

add another 15-20 games which could total 30-40 games for the season. A Player also playing on non-

JUEL Academy team could play and additional 30-40 games for a total of 60-80 games which in our

minds is excessive, thus the responsibility of monitoring from the Coach. As a Hybrid Model we don’t

have jurisdiction over the games outside of JUEL Academy and hope everyone uses good judgment in

      protecting their Players.

  • As with JUEL and JUEL Prep, Academy Players will be allowed to train with a Summer Travel team and travel to

the US with that team during the Spring NCAA Viewing period.

  • JUEL Academy teams will not participate in the Banquet this season, but will be part of an Award Celebration at

the league Tournament. Recognized Awards will include: 1 st Team All-Stars, 2 nd . Team All-Stars, All-Defensive

Team, Coach of the Year, Molten All-Academic Team, Athletica Elite Community Service Award.

  • The top 24 Players will be invited to participate in the JUEL Academy All-Star Game on June 7, 2025.
